Transferring a Telephone Call
If you need to transfer a call, be sure to give the caller the phone number you are connecting them with. If the transfer is not successful, and the connection is lost, the caller then is able to dial the direct line.
To transfer a call:
- Tell the caller you are transferring the call, and give them the direct phone number.
- Press the 'Transfer' button located on the right side of the telephone.
- Dial the four digit extension of the person you are trying to reach.
- When the third party answers, tell them you are transferring a call and press the 'Transfer' button once again and hang up.
- If you get the third party's voicemail, simply press the 'Transfer' button, and hang up (the called will not be able to hear you over the recorded message).
