Removing Novanet Material from Reserves
Removing material and deleting the course is important. If material is not removed it will remain in OPAC and cause confusion should a student find such an item during a Search.
In order to remove library owned material from a Reserve course, select the course to which the material is linked, using the ‘List of Courses’ node in the ‘Admin’ tab of the Circulation module. You must now press the ‘Course Doc List’ option. Highlight the item to be removed. Once highlighted, press the ‘Remove Doc’ button.
You will be asked to confirm this decision, simply press OK.
This item has now been removed from the course, but its loan period has not been return to its original three weeks. To do this, click Items along the top menus again and select the ‘Change Item Information’ option. Ensure that the sublibrary is SMU; the item status must be 25 (SMU General Loan) and the collection is SMUG – these options can be obtained from the drop down boxes:

Having furnished this information, click ‘OK’. A new screen will open; scan the item’s barcode and again press ‘OK’.
Having completed this task, close the box. The item formerly on Reserves has now been returned to the ‘Regular’ collection.
