Campus Security
In case of an emergency, always call Campus Security, do not call 911. Security are the first to respond, and will contact the Halifax Police, if the situation warrants. Dial 5000, if it is urgent, or 5577 for non-emergencies.
Some examples of what constitutes an emergency would be:
· Fire
· A person who is behaving in a aggressive or threatening manner
· Theft
· A medical emergency
Examples of non-emergencies would be:
· A complete power outage
· A patron who appears to be up to some mischief, but is not aggressive
In all cases, please contact your supervisor to let them know what is happening. Each time Security is contacted, the incident should be recorded in the Circulation Log Binder, found at the Circulation desk.
