Printed notices
If a student does not have an email address connected to her account, overdue notices will print on the Circulation department printer overnight.
- The computer on the desk in the Circulation department back office must be logged on at all times, and the Print Daemon activated. Otherwise, notices are not produced, and are deleted after two days.
- Log off and restart computer and log back in using the username ‘access’ and the password ‘ssecca.’
- Watch to make sure that the Aleph Print Daemon comes up.
- Check and see if you have access to Library on Smu-user1 S drive. If not, restart again.
- Most recent date is on the top of the list.
- Scroll down through the messages looking for any that are applicable to SMU.
- If you find any, force to print by highlighting the report, select the up arrow to copy it to the local name and then print.
