Removing a 'Prof Copy' from Reserves
In order to delete a Prof Copy, its item record and bibliographic record must be deleted, in addition to it being removed from the course. Having highlighted the Prof Copy to be removed in the Course Doc List, select the ‘Item’ tab in the lower screen.
A new screen will open:
Highlight the item to be deleted and press the ‘Cat Items’ button.
After the new screen opens in the Cataloguing module, you can see there are two items listed – because there are two copies of the Prof Copy. Highlight one copy of the record and press the Delete button.

Having confirmed that you do wish to delete this record, highlight the second record and repeat the process. You have now deleted the item record for this material.
Return to the Circulation module (visible on the bottom toolbar), which will still have the items on the screen. Then press the ‘Catalog’ button.

On the next screen press ‘NOV 50’. Press ‘Edit Text’, and then from the drop down box – ‘Delete Record from Server’.
Repeat this process after highlighting ‘NOV 60’.
Once you have confirmed that you do in fact wish to delete this record, you will have succeeded in deleting both the item and the bibliographic record.
Return to the Circulation module – from bottom toolbar. Press the ‘Remove Doc’ button on the right of the upper screen.

You have now removed all trace of the Prof Copy record from OPAC.
If the course is no longer being taught it should be removed from the Catalogue to prevent confusion. To accomplish this, return to our stating point – the Admin tab of the Circulation module.

You must now select ‘List of Courses’ and highlight the course which you propose to delete. Having selected the relevant course simply click the Delete button to remove it from the Catalogue.
You have now deleted the course and all records/items associated with it from the catalogue.
