Microfilm/Microfiche - Logging In to the Computer
For a SMU user, the patron can log in to the computer in the usual way, using her 'S' number and Password. The 'Log On To' field, on the login page, should say 'SMUNET'.
If not a SMU User, the patron is asked to request login assistance at the Circulation Services Desk.
A Staff member will sign in non-SMU Users, who won't have an 'S' number, with the following login information:
User Name: libscan Please note that we do not give the non-SMU
Password: Scanlib01 User the Name and Password
Users may print, email or save the information to a USB.
To Print:
Log on to your 'S' account and click on 'Print 1' or 'Print 2' for the documents to print at the student printer station. This option requires print credits (please ask at the Circulation Services Desk).
For a non-SMU User, the patron will need to click on 'Print 1' or 'Print 2', and the print job will go to the printer at the Circulation Services Desk. Printing costs are $0.25 plus tax, per page.
To Save a Document:
If the patron clicks on 'Scan to Drive 1', or 'Scan to Drive 2', the document will be saved in the 'My Scans' folder on the desktop. The patron will then have the option to either save the document to a USB, or to send the document as an email attachment.
