Local Blocks and Notes
There are two places in the Aleph Circulation module where you can add a block or note to a patron's account: Global and Local Blocks and Notes. A Local block will show at the home institution, whereas a Global block will show at all Novanet libraries.

- Patron Registration
- [O] Local Patron Information
- Tab 2 - Local Blocks and Notes
- Click the drop down arrow and choose the block you wish to add.
- Type in the reason for the Block.
- Click 'Update'.
This area is mainly used for Food for Fines and special circumstances/privileges. The Local blocks only apply to SMU, so anything concerning all the Novanet libraries should be put under 'Global Blocks and Notes'.
