Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
All ILL items are interfiled alphabetically by the patron's last name on the Hold Shelf or in the file cabinet, if it is a photocopy request. Material on the Hold Shelf will have two distinguishing slips:
As with Holds and NE requests, ILL items can only be loaned to the patron who created the request.
As the ILL staff member processes all ILLs manually, there is no need to sign the item out to the patron in ALEPH. Therefore, it is important to inform the patron that this item will not show in 'My Account'.

Desensitize the item before handing it over to the patron.

- A white wrapper on the front cover of a book or wrapped around a microfilm box, and a pink slip out from the top of the item.
- Only the white slip will be attached to the front of any photocopy request. The name of the requesting patron will be written on the slips and clearly visible.

- Any special instructions will be noted, for example: In Libary Use Only.
- It will also note the due date, and if the item is renewable.
- Contact information, should the patron wish to renew.
